Mycoplasma genitalium (MG)
Mycoplasma genitalium, is a sexually transmitted bacteria that sometimes causes an infection.
For women: lower abdominal pain
For men: discharge from the tip of the penis
Tests can be done by urine test or swabs and the infection is treated with antibiotics. If the test is positive, it is important to have a repeat test 5-weeks after treatment to check it has worked.
